Sizing for PATRICK models

With the exception of some models, PATRICK does not have separate categories for men and women, and almost all models are unisex, available in different sizes.

※ EU inch is the PATRICK display size. Conversion values are for reference only.
※ PATRICK shoes are based on lasts using European inch measurements, so they do not use a 0.5mm pitch. For the sake of size conversion, there is no official listing for 25.5cm. If your foot size is 25.5cm, we recommend size 41.


One of the charms of PATRICK is the rich variety of colors and designs,

PATRICK's models use different lasts for their sizing, so even if you choose the same size, the fit may vary.

We will explain the sizing as clearly as possible.

This chart compares the sizing of major models. They are categorized by foot length × foot circumference. Since shoes have complex three-dimensional shapes, these are not specific measured values but rather subjective perceptions based on the author's experience.

◆ About lasts

Some PATRICK models, despite having different model names and designs, share common lasts.
You might even be surprised by some of them being the same!

Also, the characters between the model name and the color name are usually abbreviations for the material.

From roomy to snugger:

  • Goose Bay last: Goose Bay, Boise, etc.
  • Jet last: Jet, Poletta, Poletta Leather
  • Marathon last: Marathon, Marathon Leather, Sanger, Bronx, Nevada, Quebec, Boston, Solsona, Liverpool, etc.
  • Stadium last: Stadium, Iris, Pamir, Californi, Valletta, etc.
    ※The Stadium is made with a strobel construction, making it slightly snugger compared to Iris/Pamir.
    ※The only difference between Iris and Pamir is the material. Iris usually combines smooth leather with velour, while Pamir uses smooth leather entirely.
    ※The Valletta has no reinforcement parts at the toe, so it feels a bit roomier.
  • Punch last: Punch, Saint Punch High, Robion, etc.
  • Datia last: Datia
  • Catania last: Catania, Capito, etc.
  • Sully last: Sully

◆ About differences in fit due to material

Even with the same model name, the fit can change depending on the material.

From stretchable to non-stretchable:

  • Mesh
  • Leather
  • Synthetic leather
  • Nylon (Cordura nylon is particularly stiff)

◆ About changes in fit due to insole modification

Applicable models: All items in the vintage category, Stadium, Iris, Pamir, etc.
Period: Models manufactured from the first half of 2022 onwards (standard items will be updated sequentially)

While PATRICK generally uses an average last and is overall slim, the insole has been changed to a thicker, more cushioned type that extends further to the toe area than before. Therefore, the same model and size manufactured after this change may feel snugger than those manufactured previously.

According to the manufacturer, "This change was made to enhance cushioning for a more comfortable experience."

Especially for those who previously chose a snug fit, or those with wider feet or high insteps, many are now sizing up by one size.

◆ About changes in fit due to manufacturing method modification

Applicable models: All models named Marathon
Period: Models manufactured from the second half of 2020 onwards (standard items will be updated sequentially)

The Marathon model was previously one of the slimmest and snugger models in PATRICK's lineup. When attaching the sole, the previous method involved first adhering the midsole, then pulling and wrapping the outer outsole around the front and back. However, from the second half of 2020, the midsole and outsole are first adhered together, and then this combined unit is attached to the upper. This change in the lasting process has adjusted the manufacturing tension, making the shoes slightly roomier than previous models of the same type.

Additionally, the outsole design has been slightly modified to include more fine irregularities, resulting in improved slip resistance.
