Sizing for PATRICK models

One of PATRICK's appeals is the wide variety of colors and designs,

However, since PATRICK uses different shoe lasts for each model, the fit will vary even if you choose the same size.

We will do our best to guide you through the sizing as clearly as possible.

Size Chart

This chart compares the sizing of major models, categorized by foot length x foot circumference. Since shoes have complex three-dimensional shapes, these are not specific measured values, but rather subjective and sensory assessments by the author.

◆ About Shoe Lasts

Even if PATRICK models have different names or designs, some may use the same shoe last.
You might even be surprised to learn that some are the same!

Also, the characters found between the model name and the color name are usually abbreviations for the material.

From roomy to snug-fitting

  • Goose Bay Last: Goose Bay, Boise, etc.
  • Jet Last: Jet
  • Marathon Last: Marathon, Marathon Leather, Sanger, Bronx, Nevada, Quebec, Boston, Solsona, etc.
  • Stadium Last: Stadium, Iris, Pamir, etc.
*Stadium models are slightly snugger than Iris/Pamir models because they use a strobel construction method.
*The difference between Iris and Pamir is only the material. Generally, Iris models combine smooth leather and velour, while Pamir models use all smooth leather.
  • Punch Last: Punch, St. Punch Hi, Robion, etc.
  • Datia Last: Datia
  • Catania Last: Catania, Capito, etc.
  • Sully Last: Sully

◆ About Differences in Sizing Due to Material

Even for the same model name, the fit may change depending on the material.

From stretchy to non-stretchy

  • Mesh
  • Leather
  • Synthetic leather
  • Nylon (Cordura nylon is particularly stiff)

◆ About Changes in Sizing Due to Insole Changes

Applicable Models: All vintage category items, Stadium, Iris, Pamir, etc.
Period: Models manufactured from the first half of 2022 onwards (standard items will be updated sequentially)

While PATRICK generally uses average lasts that are slender overall, the insoles have been changed to a type that offers better cushioning and thickness all the way to the toe area. As a result, items of the same model and size manufactured after this change may feel snugger than those manufactured before.

According to the manufacturer, this change was made "to enhance cushioning for a more comfortable experience."

Especially for those who previously chose a snug fit or have wider feet or high insteps, many are now choosing to go up one size.

◆ About Changes in Sizing Due to Manufacturing Method Changes

Applicable Models: All models named Marathon
Period: Models manufactured from the second half of 2020 onwards (standard items will be updated sequentially)

The Marathon model was one of PATRICK's slimmest and most compact models. Previously, when attaching the sole, the midsole was applied first, then the outer outsole was stretched and wrapped around the front and back. However, from the second half of 2020 onwards, the midsole and outsole are first glued together, and then this combined unit is attached to the upper. This change in the lasting process during manufacturing has resulted in a slightly roomier fit compared to previous items of the same model.

Additionally, the design of the outsole has been slightly modified with increased fine indentations, making it less prone to slipping than before.
