The opening is wide, so you can store the things you need functionally, and it is just the right size for daily use as well as for overnight trips. When you open the rounded canopy to prevent rainwater from accumulating, there are snap button sub-pockets on each side. There is no partition inside the main compartment, so it has a large capacity.
The lid is made of thick bridle leather and fastens with a hook like horse tack. It can be adjusted to two levels depending on the amount of contents.
To open or close the door, first move the metal fitting to the larger hole, then move it from the larger hole to the smaller hole to lock it in place.
Since the leather is thick, it is quite stiff at first, but this is to prevent it from becoming too loose after use.
The shoulder strap is fixed, but it can also be worn over the shoulder, across the body, or carried by hand.
The main body is made of waterproof canvas with rubber between the layers, and the edging and tab that secures the opening are all made of highly durable cowhide leather.
*Because the manufacturing process involves a lot of manual work, there are slight individual differences in wrinkles, size, etc. The leather part may transfer color to clothes if it gets wet with sweat or water.
