Punch Old
A limited production model of Patrick's popular standard model Punch, with the entire upper made of steer leather that has been soaked in oil, stamped with an uneven texture and filed to give it a nubuck-like finish.
The leather is processed at the only tannery (leather tannery) in Japan that has received LWG certification (Leather Working Group: tanneries that use environmentally friendly methods such as chemicals and wastewater treatment).
You can enjoy the growth of the colour and leather taste as you wear the leather.
The sole is the same court shoe type flat sole as the standard model (it has subtle irregularities and is very grippy).
The opening is made of pig leather (pig skin) with excellent moisture absorption and durability. Shoe laces are brazed flat cord.
White is not pure white, but a silver-grey colour.
The width of the footpads and the height of the instep have been reduced to create a smart long-nose design. The model is slightly slimmer than other Patrick models.
Care instructions
The upper is made of nubuck (fine fluff on the surface) by processing the upper, which contains a lot of oil components, so please avoid applying cream as it will cause the fluff to lie down and look like a stain.
Brush (a used toothbrush may be substituted) to remove dust and dirt, and occasionally apply a nourishing spray for nubuck and suede (often with a waterproofing effect) if necessary.
As it is quite oily, it does not need to be applied very often unless it is exposed to extreme conditions or used on a daily basis.
If stains are noticeable, rub gently with a soft eraser after brushing (test on an inconspicuous area before adjusting).
The use of waterproofing sprays is basically no problem, but please test in an inconspicuous place before use.
The upper is made of natural leather using environmentally friendly tanning methods and processed with a lot of human hands to create a unique texture. Therefore, the colour and texture will always differ slightly from part to part and from individual to individual, and minor scratches, uneven colour, wrinkles and subtle irregularities will be specifications.
As the leather contains a large amount of oil, the oil that rises to the surface may rub off and move around and look like scratches, but if you rub gently with your fingers, they will blend in and become less noticeable.
The heel of the shoe has a crease in it, which is caused when the wooden pattern is removed during production, but this is a specification.
When bonding the sole, there is inevitably the possibility of adhesive splattering, so there may be some minute splattering.
